A final run after the install showed finished is posted below this.Ĭode: Select all 21:52:00.88 - Info: Starting WSUS Offline Update v. I'll post my install log on in the next post below for your reference: Go have some fun this weekend and thanks for clarifying all these details (so much of this is new to me) I see it in the tool's w64-圆4/glb folder but for some reason it doesn't show as installed in the log or in WU history/WU installedģ. kb2781272 WHS11 UEFI w/GPT Hotfix is not installing. But if you feel like working on the tool this weekend, the below are a few initial comments:Ģ. I still have to try out your instructions for the post install of the Enterprise Hotfix rollup, and also wanted to see what post installing the convenience rollup does (after comparing it to what WU installs there seems to be more than a handful of updates the CR contains that WU doesn't install). Also, just In case the update happens to effect clients with legacy BIOS, I have one or two old school w-7 / XP laptops I can test the backup function with as well. I can run verify backup functionality with both scenario's. NET version (I'm presuming this), another option may be to trigger the tool to install both KB2934950/KB2934953 when the tick box to install NET 4.8 is selected.

Is there a way to create a work-around for this issue so a manual update isn't required? Possibly install both KB2938782 & KB2934950/KB2934953 as static definitions by default (updating systems that both do and don't update to. UEFI has been phasing in for at least 8 - 10 years now and it is mainstream. Maybe I am over simplifying, UEFI was "optional" back in 2013 when this update was published. I'll add the UEFIHotfix to the image and integrity database, but will not add a static definition as it's an "optional" update.ġ. My decision would be to include KB2934950 and KB2934953 by a static defintion (install the correct one depending on if the UEFIHotfix has been applied). To fix this you'll have to install KB2934950 or KB2934953 on the WHS2011 to switch to a different algorithm still supported by the clients.
NET 4.5/4.5.1, which removes an encrytion algorithm (which has been removed in. To clarify: KB2938782 is a security update for.
NET versions, in situation (b) the WHS2011 needs KB2934953. In situation (a) the WHS2011 needs KB2934950 to be compatible with clients having KB2938782 or more recent. NET 4.5.2 (or newer), will not sync with WHS2011. This situation will be fine with all clients as long as the clients don't have KB2938782.
